Learn to Swim at Stars Swim Schools

Step one in becoming an adept swimmer is cultivating a positive view of the water – our learn to swim program can assist your child with this.

Swimming is an invaluable life skill that will enable your children to maintain health and fitness throughout their entire lives.

Star Swim School was founded on the belief that water skills and safety are invaluable life lessons for young infants and toddlers. We take great pride in offering quality training sessions with proven results in an engaging learning-to-swim atmosphere.

Safety First

No matter whether you are searching for infant swimming lessons Clyde or classes for toddlers, finding a pool that emphasizes water safety is paramount. Children should learn how to safely enter and exit the water as well as float on their backs – both essential life skills.

An important aspect of finding an excellent school is selecting one with experienced and trained instructors. A great teacher will form strong bonds between themselves and your child while creating a safe learning environment that fosters their growth in water skills. You should also look for one offering flexible lesson times – this can make life easier on families with busy lives!

Swimming schools not only teach lifesaving skills, but they can also ensure your child feels at ease in and around water – something which is integral for both their long-term development as well as building confidence and ability in swimming at any age or stage of life.

Your best bet when selecting a swim school for you and your family is to request a free trial lesson. This gives you an opportunity to evaluate their facilities, instructors and atmosphere as well as check their curriculum; not all learn-to-swim programs offer equal lessons!

Fun & Friendly

At our boutique learn to swim facility, we pride ourselves on creating an environment that is enjoyable, welcoming and positive for both students and parents. This means providing a conducive learn-to-swim environment with small class sizes to ensure that each child receives top-quality instruction.

Learning to swim has immense advantages that will last a lifetime of safety, confidence and well-being in and around water. Our teachers – from novice to advanced swimmers – offer top quality instruction at all levels.

Year-round swimming lessons for parents & infants/toddlers, preschoolers and school age classes can be found at our heated indoor pool. Private lessons are also offered.

Small Groups

Small group lessons enable young swimmers to interact with peers while they learn. This can provide shy or nervous children with an important boost to overcome fears and work through each step of learning how to swim, from submersion to bubble blowing. They may find comfort in watching other children submerge themselves or practice new skills – not forgetting receiving verbal feedback from an instructor and one-on-one instruction not typically seen in large group lessons.

Smaller groups also allow for increased visual and auditory feedback in the water. It’s often hard for teachers to hear every swimmer, giving each the individual attention they require; when classes are small enough for instructors to provide verbal feedback about swimmer progress as well as provide individual instructions, however, it makes all the difference.

Heated Indoor Pool

A warm pool environment helps children adjust to swimming in an age-appropriate setting and prevents them from getting cold from constantly getting in and out.

As part of learning to swim, the first step involves breathing under water for 5 seconds and floating on your stomach with your face underwater. Next, your coach will teach you to kick with less leg swags before swimming a full stroke to another end of the pool.

Erina Swim Centre is the latest addition to Star Swim Schools and boasts state-of-the-art facilities for teaching swimming lessons and training. Their heated indoor pool provides ideal conditions for babies, preschoolers, school aged children and adults, providing lessons as well as various programs such as squad training, learn to swim from Swimming classes Clyde, surf squads and general lap swimming programs.
